Former Argentina star, Angel Di Maria has named three favourite teams to win the 2026 FIFA World Cup.
The 2022 World Cup winner made the prediction during an interview with Ballon d’Or.
He identified France, Spain and Portugal as the teams with the highest probability of winning the coveted trophy.
He said a combination of young talents and quality players make the teams strong contenders to clinch the World Cup title.

Di Maria said, “Recently, several teams have entered the fray thanks to emerging players… France is a strong contender because they consistently produce top talent and maintain a high standard.
“I believe Spain could also establish themselves; they are performing well, although we will need to monitor the status of some injured players.
“Portugal is another team with quality players… With João Neves and Vitinha, who add a unique flair to the game and can make a significant impact. There are three or four teams that will be in the running.”
