The fixtures and dates for the Round of 16 of the 2026 FIFA World Cup have been confirmed following the conclusion of the Round of 32 matches.
The final two places in the last 16 were secured on Friday after Argentina edged Cape Verde 3-2 in a thrilling encounter, while Colombia sealed a hard-fought 1-0 victory over Ghana to advance.
With the Round of 32 now completed, the knockout stage will continue with eight Round of 16 fixtures featuring some of the tournament’s biggest contenders battling for places in the quarter-finals.
Among the standout ties are Argentina’s clash with Egypt, Colombia’s meeting with Switzerland, Portugal’s showdown against Spain, and England’s encounter with Mexico.
