To mark International World Charity Day, Bukka Hut, a Lagos restaurant, donated 100 packs of food to the Candlelight Foundation’s soup kitchen in Surulere, to feed the less privileged. The donation restored hope to the hungry and many less privileged persons.

Head of Operations, Bukka Hut, Mrs Victoria Oboh said: “The International World Charity Day, otherwise called the World Charity Day, is recognised by the United Nations and observed annually on September 5 with an aim of sensitising people, NGOs and stakeholders to help those in need by participating in philanthropic activities.

“As a way of supporting the cause of the celebration, Bukka Hut Restaurant donated packs of food to the NGO whose aim was to carry out a food drive to feed 200 persons.

“The donation was part of the company’s Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) actions aimed at people empowerment and giving back to the society.

“Bukka Hut, as a people-centric restaurant brand, is an active participant in CSR initiatives geared at supporting communities and impacting lives positively.
