Enugu State Commissioner for Works and Infrastructure, Engr. Ben-Osy Okoh, has celebrated Christmas with residents of Ugbawka Community, Ward 1, where he distributed relief items and cash support and reaffirmed his commitment to road reconstruction in the area.

Majority Leader Nkanu East L.G.A, Rt. Hon. Nwankwo Francis N, the commissioner distributed 50 bags of rice and a cash of N500, 000 to residents as part of the festive outreach. Community members gathered to receive the items in an orderly manner.
In his Christmas message, delivered through his representative, Okoh said the gesture was intended to identify with the people during the festive season, noting that leadership carried an obligation to show empathy, particularly at a time of economic strain.
Beyond the festive support, the commissioner assured residents that plans were already in motion for the reconstruction of the road from Ugbawka to nomeh, Ugbawka to Amurri and Ugbawka to Attakwu Communities to form multiple access points.
He disclosed that the project has been approved by his Excellency Dr. Barr. Peter Ndubisi Mbah laid, funding and Commencement of the construction work will soon commence. The project was part of a broader effort to improve road connectivity and ease movement for residents.
The visit ended with expressions of appreciation from community members, who welcomed both the Christmas outreach and the assurance of improved infrastructure.
