The President of Umuadamazi Daughters of Arondizuogu “UK and Ireland”, Hon. Lady Ebere Nwokenna, has lauded Senator Orji Kalu for championing numerous educational initiatives across the five local government areas of Abia North.
In a statement, Lady Nwokenna described Sen Kalu’s unwavering investment in education as one of the most impactful legacies of his representation.
She noted that Senator Kalu has consistently demonstrated that true leadership is measured not merely by promises, but by meaningful investments in people through education and human capital development.
“Through the distribution of thousands of educational materials, the renovation of schools, the provision of scholarships, and several other learning support programmes, the Distinguished Senator has continued to remove barriers to quality education while creating opportunities for children and young people to pursue their dreams.
“Education remains the greatest form of empowerment because it equips individuals with knowledge, builds confidence, develops critical thinking, and opens doors to limitless opportunities”.
She added that while many empowerment programmes provide temporary relief, investment in education provides lifelong benefits that strengthen families, communities, and society as a whole.
Hon. Nwokenna observed that Senator Kalu’s commitment to human capital development reflects his deep understanding that the future of Abia North depends largely on an educated, skilled, and productive population.
She added that his educational interventions have continued to inspire hope among students, teachers, and parents while contributing significantly to the growth of the region’s educational sector.
Nwokenna urged beneficiaries, community leaders, parents, and other stakeholders to continue to support and protect the educational projects and programmes initiated by the former Abia governor.
