World Investment Summit (WIS) Group has appointed, Queen Temitope Enitan-Ogunwusi, wife of the Ooni of Ife, Adeyeye Enitan Ogunwusi, as its Special Envoy and Ambassador Plenipotentiary.
The appointment, endorsed through the Presidency, is expected to strengthen international investment advocacy, foster strategic partnerships, and support sustainable economic development across emerging markets.
The official conferment ceremony took place in Abuja on Monday, where the Chairman of the Board of the World Investment Summit Group and former Speaker of the House of Representatives, Rt. Hon. Yakubu Dogara, presented the appointment.
The World Investment Summit Abuja 2026 is a Presidency-backed international investment conference convened under the Renewed Hope Transformation Agenda, designed to position Nigeria as a leading destination for global investment and economic collaboration.
Announcing the appointment, Dogara said the decision reflects the organisation’s confidence in Olori Temitope’s leadership, influence, and dedication to development initiatives through cultural diplomacy and international engagement.
He described her as an outstanding representative of Nigeria’s cultural heritage, whose commitment to public service and national development aligns with the summit’s mission of promoting investment-led growth.

According to him, Nigeria remains one of Africa’s most attractive investment destinations, offering significant opportunities across agriculture, energy, infrastructure, technology, creative industries, and the rapidly expanding digital economy.
The World Investment Summit serves as a premier international platform that brings together governments, investors, development partners, financial institutions, corporate executives, innovators, and policymakers to encourage cross-border investments and strengthen economic cooperation.
Scheduled to hold in Abuja from October 14–16, 2026, the summit is expected to attract more than 8,000 participants, including heads of state, ministers, diplomats, multinational business leaders, sovereign wealth fund executives, development finance institutions, investment promotion agencies, academics, and leading international media organisations.
In her acceptance remarks, Olori Temitope, who also serves as Deputy Convener of the Hope Alive Initiative for Africa (HAI), expressed gratitude to the World Investment Summit Group for the honour and reaffirmed her commitment to advancing investment promotion, economic cooperation, and sustainable development.
“I am deeply honoured by this appointment and grateful for the confidence reposed in me. I look forward to leveraging this platform to promote meaningful partnerships, encourage investment opportunities, and support initiatives that foster sustainable economic growth and shared prosperity,” she said.
She described Nigeria as a nation rich in opportunities, highlighting its abundant resources, entrepreneurial population, and growing market potential.
