WBC heavyweight champion Deontay Wilder has reportedly turned down DAZN’s $100million, three-fight offer to take on Dominic Breazeale and Anthony Joshua.

Reports emerged over the past few days claiming the streaming service were prepared to pay astronomical figures to secure Wilder, having met with the Bronze Bomber and his co-managers, Shelly Finkel and Al Haymon, in New York on Tuesday.

DAZN offered Wilder $20m (£15m) to fight mandatory challenger Breazeale, and $80m (£60m) for two fights against Joshua later in the year and at the start of 2020.

Although Wilder was deliberating over the offer, Finkel has now confirmed to FOX Sports’ Mike Coppinger that the Breazeale fight will not take place on DAZN.

Team Wilder will hold a press conference on Tuesday to officially announce the decision, with the Breazeale fight on May 18 expected to be shown on Showtime pay-per-view instead – who Haymon has a deal with.
