WILAN champions women’s leadership at Africa Soft Power Summit

Women In Leadership Advancement Network (WILAN) Global says it has solidified its commitment to supporting African women leaders by serving as a strategic partner for the prestigious Africa Soft Power Summit for 2024.

The summit, recognized as a premier event for Africa’s creative and tech industries, convened a powerful assembly of minds focused not only on these sectors but also on fostering women’s leadership. It was held from May 28 to 31 in Kigali, Rwanda.

At the event, vibrant exchange of ideas unfolded, with speakers and participants from across the continent and the global African diaspora discussing the future of critical sectors for Africa’s development, including technology, infrastructure, and sustainability.

In a statement, WILAN Global said its strategic partnership reflects its unwavering belief in Africa’s immense potential, particularly its women.

“We are honored to have been a strategic partner for the Africa Soft Power Summit 2024,” said Tosin Togunde, Head of Operations at WILAN Global. “WILAN remains dedicated to promoting female leadership and advocating for gender-balanced leadership across all sectors in Nigeria and Africa as a whole.”

The summit provided a dynamic platform for WILAN Global, a gender equality non-profit in Nigeria, to showcase its innovative approaches and forge valuable connections with industry leaders, policymakers, and changemakers.

The organization actively participated in shaping the summit’s agenda, with key representatives contributing to discussions on leveraging technology to empower women and drive positive change across the continent.

Their participation extended beyond the conference halls, with active engagement with delegates during workshops and networking events.
WILAN Global’s presence served as one of the many proofs of its unwavering commitment to supporting African women in leadership roles, alongside the continent’s flourishing creative and technological forces. The organization’s participation highlighted its dedication to fostering innovation, collaboration, and the continued rise of African women on the global stage.
