Minister of Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Nyesom Wike on Friday gave ultimatum to Coordinator of the Satellite Towns Development Department (STDD), Abdulkadir Zulkiflu, warning that his appointment will be terminated if uncollected refuse along the Apo-Karshi corridor is not cleared by Monday or Tuesday.
The threat came during an on-site inspection tour of major road projects in Karu, Karshi, Bwari, and Kubwa axes, where Wike showcased progress on presidential directives for massive infrastructure upgrades in satellite towns.
Wike while responding to reporters questions on the heaps of refuse encroaching on roads en route to Karshi, Wike said: “You’ve taken it away from my mouth. I was about to call the coordinator of STDD, that by Monday, if I see that refuse, I will not look away, I will terminate his appointment.”

Wike ceased the moment to summon Zulkiflu on the spot, addressed him directly, fuming: “If I see that refuse from Orozo down to Apo-Karshi by Monday or Tuesday, your job will be terminated. Whatever you can do, make sure this is handled. Look at this, it’s very embarrassing. Those places are no longer villages, development has taken over all the whole area. Nobody will accept that.”
Turning to the press, the minister assured: “So just be assured that it (the refuse) will be done.”
