Minister of Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Minister, Nyesom Wike, thrilled locals in Ochigba, Ahoada East Local Government Area of Rivers State, on Saturday by attending the End-of-Year Thanksgiving Service hosted by former Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives, Chibudom Nwuche.
The event, held in Nwuche’s hometown, drew a large crowd of community members, political allies, and well-wishers, celebrating the year’s milestones with prayers, music, and cultural displays.

Wike, a prominent Rivers political figure and close associate of the host, arrived amid cheers and participated actively, underscoring his enduring ties to the region despite his current role in Abuja.
In a highlight of the gathering, Wike engaged in a lively traditional wrestling dance with Nwuche, showcasing camaraderie and cultural pride. The duo’s energetic performance, complete with rhythmic steps and playful exchanges, electrified the audience and symbolized unity in Rivers politics.
Nwuche, who represented Ahoada East/West/Omuma Federal Constituency during his time in the House, used the occasion to thank God for blessings and reflect on community development.
In a related development, members of the Rivers State House of Assembly presented Wike with a brand new car as a token of appreciation for his contributions to the state.
