Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Nyesom Wike, has praised First Lady Oluremi Tinubu for her support for vulnerable Nigerians, describing her as a pillar of support for President Bola Tinubu and his administration.
Wike, in a goodwill message to the First Lady on her 66th birthday, said her interventions through the Renewed Hope Initiative (RHI) had brought relief to vulnerable Nigerians over the past three years.
The Minister also singled out Mrs Tinubu’s contribution to the transformation of the Abuja City Gate, saying the project reflected her commitment to the success of her husband’s administration.
In a statement issued by his Senior Special Assistant on Public Communications and Social Media, Lere Olayinka, Wike said the First Lady’s role in the development of the City Gate was evidence of her commitment to supporting the administration.
He said: “The roles the First Lady played in transforming the Abuja City Gate into how it is today, is a manifestation of her commitment to the success of her husband’s administration.”
Wike also commended the First Lady for what he described as her simple lifestyle, saying it had remained an inspiration to women across the country.
“At 66, the simple way of life of the First Lady, Mrs Oluremi Tinubu, CON, has remained an inspiration to women in the country, and it is my prayer that God will continue to uphold her,” he said.
The FCT Minister described the First Lady as “a major pillar of support” for the President and Nigerians, particularly vulnerable citizens who have benefited from her initiatives.
He said her 66th birthday was a confirmation of what he described as God’s love for her, while praying for her continued good health.
“Most importantly, this new age is a confirmation of God’s love for her, and I pray that the good Lord will continue to grant her good health,” Wike added.
He congratulated Mrs Tinubu on attaining the milestone and prayed for more years of service to the country.
“I celebrate and rejoice with our ever caring and development-oriented First Lady on the attainment of this significant age in her life and wish her many more years of service to our country, Nigeria,” he said.
