The Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Nyesom Wike, has appointed Alhaji Onsachi Musa Idris as Senior Special Assistant on Procurement, with immediate effect.
Idris, who retired from the civil service on Friday, 24 April 2026, after serving as the Director of FCT Administration Procurement since July 2021, brings over 30 years of experience in administration, finance, and public sector procurement.

A statement by Wike’s Senior Special Assistant on Public Communications and Social Media, Lere Olayinka, highlighted Idris’s career progression.
The statement noted that Idris rose to the position of Director of Common Services (Procurement) in August 2019 before his 2021 redeployment. In his previous role, he oversaw procurement processes and ensured regulatory compliance, boosting institutional efficiency and service delivery.
