…Reacts to hike in fuel price

Wife of Ooni of Ife, Olori Temitope Enitan-Ogunwusi has hailed innovation behind locally made vehicle stating it has helped cushion the effect of transportation problem in the country.

Temitope who is currently driving support for her husband, Ooni of Ife, Adeyeye Enitan Ogunwusi’s Hopesalive Innitiative for Africa, revealed this during her recent visit to Innoson Vehicle Manufacturing Ltd, the maker of Innoson Motors.

While at Innoson Motors to cement relationship with owner, Chief Innocent Ifediaso Chukwuma, the queen whose visitation was in line with her royal tour to selected co-operate organizations in Nigeria, however reacted to hike in full price which has caused discomfort in the nation.

“I have always held on to the saying that the needs of humans can only be lifted by other humans who are courageous and conscientious enough to take real action, hence I took it upon myself to come here to see things, encourage and collaborate with owner of Innoson Motors. I’m impressed and proud of Chief Chukwuma for what he is doing in our transport industry.”

‘ As for the issue of subsidy, Nigerians need to be patient. The removal of subsidy on fuel came with a heavy economic effect on everyone with gross impact on the masses. The cost of transport went off the roof and this has caused inflation in our economy. My husband and I feel for Nigerians and we have been burden by this economic situation.

‘We urged Nigerians to give President Tinubu the needed support even as he assured us there will be light at the end of the tunnel. We will keep collaborating in keeping hopes alive,’ she reaffirmed.

Responding to this, host, Chukwuma, applauded the visit and also urged embittered citizens to settle for Compressed Natural Gas [CNG] as an alternative to fuel subsidy.

“We are happy today that you visit our factory and inspected what we are doing and from what you see you have confirmed to us that we are doing well.

“We are glad to hear such news and as for the issue of subsidy removal, the solution is for people to go into Compressed Natural Gas (CNG). CNG cost is better than fuel. If the masses have access to this, they’ll surely like to convert their vehicle to CNG. Removing fuel subsidies is the way forward for this nation. Without such step, Nigeria will be going around and not going forward. But now, with time, Nigeria will go forward.” Innoson Motors boss said.
