Delta-born comedian, Chuks Odigwe, popularly known as MC Chux, is set to take the stage on October 20, 2024, with his highly anticipated show, ‘Why I’m Not Married.’
In a recent chat with Saturday Sun, the Tansian University graduate shared the inspiration behind the show and its title.
“The title of this show stems from a recurring question I have received from my friends and fans: “When are you getting married?” This constant inquiry prompted me to want to share my experiences and perspectives on relationships and dating in Lagos,” he said.
MC Chux further revealed that he’s looking for a woman who is purposeful, content, visionary, and God-fearing. While he acknowledges that honesty might not always be the easiest approach, he believes it’s essential in building genuine connections.
Despite initial aspirations to become a lawyer, MC Chux’s path led him to comedy. “I always wanted to be heard. After struggling with the Nigerian system, I switched to Public Administration. But the 9-5 life wasn’t fulfilling. I needed to explore my talents, so I resigned and pursued comedy full-time.”
When asked about his greatest fear, MC Chux admitted, ‘poverty.’
