Ghanaian comedian, Mohammed Ali, has said he is leveraging his platform to advocate for important social issues, including road safety and online security. With a large following on social media, Ali has become a prominent voice in digital entertainment and activism.
Known online as iam_almed, Ali said he has partnered with organisations like the Samuel Whyte Foundation to educate the public on road safety, using humor to highlight the dangers of jaywalking.
“Social media gives me a voice, and I want to use it for good,” Ali said. His commitment to social causes has earned him admiration, but his growing influence has also attracted impersonators. Fake accounts pretending to be him have emerged, posing risks to his followers.
Ali urged fans to stay vigilan, saying: “If you see a suspicious account, report it immediately and follow only verified pages.” As Ghanaian audiences increasingly embrace short-form video platforms like TikTok, Ali stands out as both an entertainer and an advocate, proving that comedy can be a powerful tool for change.
