Afrobeats singer Michael Adebayo Olayinka, popularly known as Ruger, says a woman’s financial status is not a deciding factor for him when it comes to relationships.
Speaking during a recent livestream with content creator Shank, the singer said he is financially comfortable and therefore does not consider employment or income a requirement in a partner.
Ruger added that he has previously dated women who were unemployed, including some he described as lazy, stressing that their financial situation was never a major concern for him.
“A woman’s financial status doesn’t matter to me. I am rich. I have dated girls who didn’t make money before. They just sleep and wake up,” he said.

Ruger said his ideal woman is “someone who is funny.”
He said he is looking forward to settling down soon.
“I keep ordering takeouts because there is no one at home to cook for me. That’s one of the reasons I want to settle down,” he said.
The singer also disclosed during the interview that he has made over $2 million so far this year.
