Nollywood star Charles Okocha has opened up on his decision to tie the nuptial knot following the buzz his marriage announcement caused on social media.
Okocha, who is also known for his unending social media antics, revealed that he and his fiancée have been together for seven years and that it was time to settle down.
According to him, his relationship has been without the expected show of affection on social media.
“I am getting married because it’s only right for me to be married. We have been dating since 2017, quietly, with no social media show of affection. She lives in America and is a nurse. So, it is true.
“My kids are very comfortable and happy with the news,” he said.
The actor’s disclosure clarifies doubts following the announcement of his getting married as fans and followers wondered if it was for a movie shoot or not.
Okocha surprised everyone when he uploaded several pictures with his fiancée on his Instagram account on November 5, 2024.
The social media post included the hashtag, ‘#MICHARLES2024’.
