Talented actress, Ebere Nwuzi popularly known as Bayray, has revealed the reason she broke down in tears on the set of soon-to-be-released movie, Minee.
Giving reasons for her emotional breakdown while shooting the movie, Bayray said: “The tears were real. It was so good to be able to cry without nobody asking you what’s going on. So, I used the opportunity to cry on the movie set because I just broke up with someone. The relationship was a bit toxic. Apparently, the person wanted me not to do any other thing but be with him 24 hours. And this was affecting my work. Every time I had to work was a problem and that kind of relationship is very dangerous for any woman.
“God called all of us to have our personal destinies where we can live out our lives for Him. If you are going to abandon that destiny, you will be empty and one day you will just give up and commit suicide, because you are not living out the purpose why you are here on planet earth. I had to walk away and that was the period I was also working. As long as I wanted to walk away, it’s very difficult to just walk away without feeling some kind of pain.”
Produced by Kezy Kome, Minee has Bayray Nwuzi playing the role of a prostitute, while also starring big names like Daniel Etim Effiong, Ireti Doyle, Segun Arinze, Ayo Adesanya, Tony Monjaro, Monica Friday and host of others.
Commenting on the film, Bayray said: “Minee is a story about mental health and how it affects family and society at large. When we saw the story, we knew it was something that we wanted to do and the director, Richard, was amazing. Once you see the thriller, you will know what I’m talking about.”
The action packed movie is set to drop on October 28, but it will be released at the cinema nationwide on November 3, 2023.
