Natasha Akide, often known as Tacha, a reality TV personality and entrepreneur, has explained why she chose Lagos, Nigeria, over the United Kingdom for her Guinness World Record attempt for the most makeovers done in 24 hours.
Speaking to influencer Egungun at her Tacha Beauty Festival, the former Big Brother Naija star said that her choice was inspired by a strong desire to promote Nigeria’s creative and entrepreneurial culture.
According to her, the goal was not just to break a global record but also to highlight the skill, vibrancy, and promise of Nigeria’s beauty sector.

“London won’t give me the vibes I want. I had sponsorship offers from international brands and we initially planned to do it in London. But it always makes sense to carry your country along” Tacha said.
The event forms part of tTacha Beauty Festival, a three-day celebration which run from October 10 to 12, it highlights beauty, culture, and resilience within Nigeria’s growing creative industry.
