Eyiyemi Afolayan, the daughter of ace Nollywood producer, Kunle Afolayan, has said she could never date a financially struggling man.
She said she could not “build with a man from scratch” because most men often show signs of ingratitude to their supportive partners after achieving financial success.
The 20-year-old budding actress made this known in an interview with BBC News Yoruba.
She said, “I can’t build with a man. Why I can’t build with a man? You know men; they are ingrates. If I marry a man that doesn’t have money and see money, if I marry him, he will stay with me, not because he loves me, but because he doesn’t have the money to be going around to be promiscuous.”
Eyiyemi Afolayan noted that having been born into privilege, she considered it fitting to only date or marry men of similar status.
The Anikulapo star also touched on the subject of polygamy, saying she could not be second or third wife to any man.
“I can’t be a second or third wife for any man. It is not because I am jealous or anything. Polygamous home comes with a lot of problem.
“I was born into wealth, any man that wants to marry me must be doing something for himself, I can’t be feeding him but I can support him,” she stated.
