Manchester City forward Antoine Semenyo has acknowledged that choosing to represent Ghana in international football was an “easy” decision.

The 26-year-old opted to play for the Black Stars despite being eligible for both England and France. Speaking in an interview with the In The Mixer podcast, Semenyo stated that he never gave serious consideration to other nations before making his commitment.

The forward officially pledged his international future to Ghana in 2022.

“I was 20, 21 when Ghana came calling. I couldn’t say no to playing for the first team, so it was an easy choice,” Semenyo explained.

“No, it was never a hard decision. I wasn’t even in England’s top ranking like that anyway.
