Whisky Boy, Ananaba, for burial Friday

Family, friends and well-wishers will, on Friday, converge on Umuananaba village, Obegu, Ugwunagbo autonomous community in Ugwunagbo Local Government Area, Abia State, to bid final farewell to the late Gabriel Chimezie Ananaba (aka Whisky Boy).

He died on Friday, August 25, 2023, at the age of 70 years.

According to burial arrangements signed by his eldest son, Chinagorom, a service of songs will be held in his honour on Thursday, at St. Peter’s Anglican Church, Obegu at 4pm.

On Friday, his body will leave Paradise Mortuary Ihie, at 8am, to his home in Obegu town, where he will lie-in-state at King Ananaba’s compound from 9.30am.

His body will later leave for St. Peter’s Anglican Church, Obegu, where a funeral service will be held in his honour at 12noon, after which his remains will be laid to rest at 1pm.

He is survived by children, grandchildren, brother, sisters and in-laws.
