Samuel Isong, Chief Executive Officer of Ride With Me Logistics, has emerged as one of Nigeria’s most dependable logistics professionals, coordinating operations for some of the country’s biggest entertainment events.
His role in managing logistics for Davido’s 5ive Album Tour—across Adamawa, Akwa Ibom, Enugu and Ibadan—offered lessons that extended far beyond scheduling and transportation.
“We didn’t just manage the Uyo show. We handled logistics across four other states. One of the biggest lessons was learning how to work seamlessly with other professionals and understanding human behaviour, especially at a time when security challenges were intense nationwide. Patience, tolerance, endurance and proactiveness became essential,” he stated.
He also highlighted the impact of working closely with Davido’s manager, Asa Asika.
“Asa taught me the value of attention to detail. He doesn’t want you to just go through the motions; he wants you to fully understand what you’re doing and execute it properly. It was an incredible experience, and I’m grateful to Anthony, the project manager, for trusting us with the 5ive tour.”
Isong’s journey into logistics began through artist management.
“I spent several years in the entertainment space and noticed a major gap, particularly in how talents were perceived during public appearances,” he said. “Many artists couldn’t afford decent transportation, and it affected how they were received. I always wanted to build something meaningful within the entertainment ecosystem.”
Beyond Davido’s tour, Isong has overseen logistics for international personalities, including American streamer Kai Cenat and the President of Burger King during his first visit to Africa. “We spent hours on calls, planning and aligning our visions to ensure a seamless experience. Logistics played a critical role in the success of that visit,” he said.
