The Dangote Petroleum Refinery and Petrochemicals Limited has announced that the ex-depot price of Premium Motor Spirit (PMS), petrol has not been hiked, saying it remains unchanged in line with its stance on supporting stability in Nigeria’s downstream petroleum market amid ongoing cost pressures and global energy volatility.

The company, in a statement, said the decision reflects a deliberate effort to maintain price consistency, cushion the impact of external shocks on the domestic economy, and help moderate inflationary pressures that continue to affect businesses and households.

By holding its pricing steady, the refinery noted that it is effectively absorbing parts of the prevailing market cost fluctuations. It added that this approach is aimed at ensuring fuel affordability, sustaining steady product supply, and preventing unnecessary disruptions in the energy value chain.

Dangote Refinery stressed that its operations remain guided by a broader commitment to national economic stability and energy security, particularly at a time when global crude oil dynamics and foreign exchange pressures continue to influence local pricing structures.

It also reiterated its focus on delivering consistent supplies of high-quality petroleum products to the Nigerian market, noting that reliability and efficiency remain central to its operations as Africa’s largest refining facility.

The company further urged stakeholders and the general public to depend solely on official statements from the refinery for accurate information on pricing and operations, warning against misinformation that could distort market expectations or trigger unnecessary speculation.
