Nigeria’s men’s cricket team, Yellow Green started its campaign in the 2023 West African Trophy Tour on a sound note, BSNSports.com.ng reports.
The tournament is the maiden edition and is organised by the African Cricket Council to foster relationships and increase fane awareness in the region
Playing at the Tafawa Balewa Cricket Ovals in Lagos, the Nigerian side dominated the game as expected but the Central African country was able to stand its ground in the game.
The Yellow Green was firmly in control of the game 127/8 and only required 128 runs to win.
At the end of the game, Nigeria’s Yellow Green came out on top with 54 runs and 18.1 overs.
