Wema Bank has restated its commitment to advancing women’s economic empowerment through its sponsorship of the SheCan Do More Conference 2026, a move aimed at expanding access to opportunities, financial inclusion and business growth for women across Nigeria.

The bank, through its women-focused proposition, SARA by Wema, is partnering with SheCan Nigeria to host the conference scheduled for June 19 in Lagos. The event is expected to bring together women entrepreneurs, professionals, business owners and emerging leaders for networking, mentorship and capacity-building sessions.

According to the bank, the partnership underscores its belief that empowering women extends beyond providing financial services to creating access to knowledge, strategic networks, mentorship and opportunities that support career advancement and business growth.

As part of activities lined up for the conference, Wema Bank announced a range of incentives and rewards for participants.

The bank said the first two women who open a Wema or SARA account at the venue, fund it with between N50,000 and N100,000, obtain an instant debit card and spend a minimum of N50,000 at the event will each receive N1 million.

In addition, the first three women who open and fund their accounts with at least N5,000, receive an instant Wema or SARA debit card and spend a minimum of N10,000 at the venue will each be rewarded with a N150,000 self-care package.

Participants are also expected to benefit from free health screenings upon joining the SARA Community, as well as discounted interest rates and complimentary health plans for those who sign up for the SARA Business Loan.

Other attractions at the conference include instant cash prizes, branded gift items and interactive spin-the-wheel activities designed to engage attendees and reward participation.

Wema Bank said the initiative aligns with its broader efforts to promote financial inclusion and support women-owned businesses through tailored financial products, business support services and access to growth opportunities.

The lender noted that by partnering with platforms such as the SheCan Do More Conference, it aims to help women build sustainable businesses, strengthen their financial independence and achieve long-term success.

The conference is expected to attract hundreds of women from different sectors, providing a platform for learning, collaboration and empowerment as participants explore strategies for personal and professional development.
