The Imo State chapter of the African Democratic Congress (ADC) has said it would support any of the presidential aspirants that wins the party’s primaries.
The party made the remark in a statement in Owerri, Imo State capital, by its Publicity Secretary, Dr. Kingsley Onochie, where he debunked earlier stories that the Imo ADC chapter had thrown its weight behind Peter Obi and called for his adoption as the party’s candidate.
He further said it was wrong for some media houses to have written that Imo ADC was supporting Obi. He insisted that it was improper for the media to have written that the party was supporting a particular presidential aspirant.

According to Onochie, “once a candidate emerges at the primaries, he would enjoy our support.”
He assured Nigerians that the leadership of the party was working to ensure a rancour-free presidential primaries.
The Imo ADC under Prof. James Okoroma, is gathering momentum. Members of the Labour Party, Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and All Progressives Congress (APC) have been joining the ADC in droves.
Onochie assured the people of Imo State that ADC would usher in a new lease of life for them in the state.
