Iran’s new Supreme Leader, Mojtaba Khamenei, has been warned by the Israeli Defence Forces (IDF) that he is in their sights and will be targeted in the ongoing conflict.
Mojtaba Khamenei, the son of the late Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, was unveiled as Iran’s new Supreme Leader on Sunday, earning swift criticism from US President Donald Trump.
Reacting to the development on Monday, the IDF issued a warning to Khamenei, saying “the long arm of the State of Israel will continue to pursue the successor and anyone who tries to appoint him”.

“We will not hesitate to target you as well. Consider yourselves warned,” Israeli troops stated.
Speaking further, the IDF said it had assassinated Abu al-Qassem Baba’iyan, the new head of the military office of the supreme leader.
