The Honourable Member representing Ado/Okpokwu/Ogbadibo Federal Constituency, Hon. Philip Agbese, has declared that the participation of the Senator George Akume-led group in the ongoing APC e-registration and revalidation exercise will dramatically expand the party’s membership base in Benue State.

Agbese, Spokesperson of the Benue State APC Caucus in the National Assembly, made this known while speaking to journalists in Makurdi shortly after inspecting registration materials and logistics.

The Deputy Spokesperson of the House of Representatives expressed confidence in their ability to deliver massive numbers after the SGF faction was synchronised into the e-registration.

He stressed that the Akume group is fully mobilized and ready to leverage its strength to reshape the party’s fortunes in the state.

“We are coming with serious business,” Agbese stated firmly. “The Akume group alone has over half a million dedicated members who are already verified and eager to be captured in this exercise.

“Within the next seven days, we will upload every one of them. That single move will increase our APC membership in Benue by at least 500,000.

“And mark my words—we are targeting an extra 1 million votes for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu in the next election cycle.

“After one solid month of effort, the other side has only managed about 30,000 registrations. That’s the difference between real grassroots mobilization and mere noise.

“Our people are on the ground, they understand the stakes, and they are responding in large numbers. This e-registration is our chance to reclaim and strengthen the party from the roots.”

Agbese called on all APC members across Benue to give full cooperation in their respective local government areas.

“This is not the time for division or lukewarm attitude. With the structure Senator Akume has built and the commitment we are seeing, APC in Benue is set to become unstoppable again. Let’s make this exercise a huge success together.”

When asked about the performance of Governor Rev. Fr. Hyacinth Alia’s administration to date, Agbese chose his words carefully and with a touch of humour.

“Honestly, I don’t want to jump the gun and say something today only for my ogas at the top to come out tomorrow with a completely different view,” he said with a smile.

“So, let me do the right thing—I will reach out to Bayo Onanuga and a few other people in Abuja who are closer to the situation. Once I get the accurate picture from the right quarters, then we can discuss it properly.”

Turning to national leadership, Agbese showered praise on President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, describing him as an exceptional figure on the African stage.

“President Tinubu is a towering giant in African leadership. His experience, his vision, and his Renewed Hope agenda are transforming not just Nigeria but inspiring the entire continent.

“Benue people recognize that quality, and we stand solidly behind him.”

The federal lawmaker reaffirmed Benue’s commitment to delivering strong electoral support for the President.

“We are serious about shooting Tinubu’s votes up by another 1 million from Benue State alone. This is based on the energy, the belief, and the real mobilization happening on the ground right now.

” The people trust his leadership, and we will ensure their support translates into massive numbers in 2027 and beyond.”
