Nentawe Yilwatda, the new chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), has stated that there are no opposition parties in the country.

Yilwatda said this to downplay the importance of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), the Labour Party (LP), and the African Democratic Congress (ADC).

The new APC National Chairman made this declaration on Thursday while appearing as a guest on Channels Television’s ‘Politics Today’ show immediately after his emergence.

According to the former Minister of Humanitarian Affairs, the APC has no fears about the opposition parties.

“There is no opposition for now,” he said.

He stated further that the opposition parties have all failed in recent off-season governorship polls following the 2023 general elections in Edo, Ondo, Kogi, and Imo states.
