We can’t confirm Broda Shaggi was shot within our jurisdiction – Ogun police command

The Ogun State Police Command said it has not been able to verify that popular content creator, Broda Shaggi was shot within its jurisdiction.

Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO) of the command, DSP Oluseyi Babaseyi stated this in a statement issued on Friday and shared on X.

Reports circulated earlier on Friday that the skitmaker was filming around the Sango Ota bridge in Ogun state when he was reportedly shot in the leg.

He was allegedly initially rushed to a hospital in the Alakuko area of Lagos before being transferred to another facility in Ikeja GRA of the nation’s commercial nerve centre.

In its statement, the Ogun police command said no such incident has been reported at any police formation across the state.

The statement reads, “The Ogun State Police Command wishes to address reports alleging that the entertainer Broda Shaggi was shot within Ogun State. For clarity, the Command cannot confirm that such an incident occurred anywhere within its jurisdiction. Additionally, no such incident has been reported at any Police formation across the State.

“In line with the Command’s commitment to professionalism and transparency, investigations have been initiated to ascertain the facts and verify the claim.

“The Command is actively carrying out necessary investigations to determine the true circumstances of the report.

“Citizens are advised to rely solely on official Police communication while the investigation runs its course. The Command remains committed to the safety of all residents and the maintenance of law and order across Ogun State.”
