“Today, Bayelsa is calm and safe with the cooperation of the citizens and support of government. We have stepped up night patrols, aimed at reinforcing the policy’s commitment to serving and protecting the community. Police also raided hideouts of criminals along Yenagoa-Port Court Expressway. We carried out on the spot assessment of police checkpoints along the East-West Road in Bayelsa State.

“We dismantled illegal roadblocks and warned officers against extortion and all forms of misconduct towards members of the public, especially along the expressway. We have charged officers to remain professional while carrying out their lawful duties.

“We want to appreciate the public for their support and for given us useful information to smoke criminals out of the state.”
