The WAWA COP Club, an association of indigenes of Wawa community in Enugu State, has donated food items, household supplies and cash to the Treasure of Love Missionaries of Charity, Sisters of Mother Teresa Motherless Babies Home in Alapere, Ketu, Lagos.
The outreach was part of the club’s Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) activities aimed at supporting vulnerable children and contributing to the welfare of the home.
Items donated included bags of rice, cartons of noodles, toilet tissue, detergents, disinfectants, bathing soaps and other household essentials, as well as cash.
Speaking on the initiative, the President of WAWA COP Club, Ifeanyi Eze, said the outreach was a demonstration of the club’s commitment to humanitarian service and community development.
Eze said, “the essence of this outreach is to show love and support to the less privileged. We believe that charity goes beyond race, religion, tribe or social status. Every act of kindness, no matter how small, can make a difference in someone’s life.”
He said members of the club were touched by the reception they received during the visit, particularly the smiles of the children and the commitment of the caregivers.

Eze said, “it was a deeply fulfilling experience for us. Seeing the children smile and witnessing the dedication of the caregivers reminded us of the importance of supporting people who devote themselves to caring for vulnerable members of society.”
He said the initiative was made possible through the collective contributions and participation of members of the club.
The president commended members who contributed financially and participated in the outreach, adding that the club would continue to undertake initiatives aimed at supporting the less privileged.
Eze said, “WAWA COP Club is not just about fellowship. We want to use our platform to make meaningful contributions to humanity through service and acts of charity.
“We encourage individuals, organisations and community groups to support homes that care for the less privileged. A little act of kindness can go a long way in changing a life.”
He pledged that the club would sustain similar humanitarian initiatives as part of its commitment to community development and service.
Members who contributed to the outreach included Maxwell Nzekwe, Ifeanyi Ezeh, Obinna Okeke, Okechukwu Nduduisi, Chinedu Alumona, Ikechukwu Okolo, Chukwuemeka Ude, Ernest Asogwa, Fred Ekete, Felix Ogwudile and Ikechukwu Udeichi.
The initiative was carried out under the club’s philosophy, “Humanity Above All,” which promotes compassion, service and support for vulnerable members of society.
