Former Super Falcons coach, Randy Waldrum and his captain Onome Ebi voted Aitana Bonmati for 2023 The Best Women’s Player.
Bonmati was the clear winner of the award, adding to her Golden Ball prize at the FIFA Women’s World Cup Australia & New Zealand 2023™. Brazil legend Marta, Germany ace Alexandra Popp and England coach Sarina Wiegman all voted for the Spanish midfield maestro.
Waldrum and Ebi were among the national team coaches and captains, as well as expert journalists and fans that voted during the awards.
Bonmati got (52 points) while second placed Linda Caicedo (40 points) and Jenni Hermoso earned (36 points).
