Three quarter-final fixtures have now been confirmed at the ongoing 2026 Women’s Africa Cup of Nations (WAFCON) following the conclusion of the Group C matches on Wednesday.
Nigeria produced a dominant display to thrash Egypt 6-2, while Zambia secured a 2-1 victory over Malawi in the other Group C encounter.
The results saw the Super Falcons finish second in Group C, setting up a quarter-final clash against Cameroon this weekend as they continue their quest for another continental title.
South Africa will clash with the host nation, Morocco, in the quarter-final this weekend, while Ivory Coast will take on Algeria in the quarter-final.
For Malawi, they will have to wait to see who they will face between Ghana and Mali.
The WAFCON quarter-final stage will commence on Saturday, and only four teams will qualify for the semi-final stage.
