Vitel Wireless has launched its services nationwide with an official unveiling in Lagos. The company said it is introducing a communication network designed to provide secure, affordable and reliable connectivity for businesses across Nigeria.

The recent launch event brought together business executives, SME operators and industry professionals who were introduced to the company’s integrated communication system, which combines traditional GSM services with cloud-based technology.

Speaking at the event, the Executive Chairman of Vitel Wireless, Kenneth Nwabueze, said the company aims to address the communication challenges faced by small and large organisations in coordinating teams and managing operational costs.

He said the service is structured to support enterprises across various sectors including logistics, education, healthcare and professional services.

“Our network provides a scalable and secure communication solution that helps organisations manage internal coordination more efficiently,” he said. “Whether it is call management, staff extensions, security tools or data services, the goal is to support business continuity and growth.”

Nwabueze explained that the company’s Closed User Group (CUG) service enables organisations to connect up to 50 users under a private communication network, offering free internal calls and SMS, discounted data plans, auto-attendant features, and staff extension numbers. He added that the service also includes enhanced safety and monitoring tools through Vitel’s SecureMe and Oga-App platforms.

Also speaking, the Head of Product Marketing, Chiobi Ben Odera, said the company’s technology deployment is aimed at improving team communication, workplace security and operational efficiency.

He noted that Vitel’s Location Awareness Technology integrates three solutions, SecureMe, Oga-App and Location-Based Services  to provide real-time visibility over staff movements, logistics operations and organisational assets.

“Businesses are increasingly seeking systems that help them stay connected, manage staff effectively and reduce communication costs,” he said. “Our platform offers tools for internal communication, attendance verification, performance monitoring and operational oversight.”

The launch included live demonstrations of SecureMe, a user-controlled safety application that activates movement tracking when triggered, and Oga-App, which verifies staff attendance using GPS and generates automated performance reports.

Vitel Wireless said it plans to scale adoption across industries and support organisations seeking more structured communication and coordination systems.
