The ongoing Ogbomoso Cradles Carnival reached an electrifying peak on Saturday as renowned Nollywood stars Saheed Balogun, Lalude Ojoge, Otolo, Kukute, and others captivated attendees with a stellar stage play titled Isokan (Unity).
The performance, organised in collaboration with the Theatre and Movie Producers Association of Nigeria (TAMPAN), Ogbomoso Zone, highlighted the essence of teamwork and unity while reflecting on the cultural and societal realities of Ogbomoso.
In a stunning display of talent, visually impaired athletes wowed the crowd with an extraordinary 30-minute football match. Their exceptional skills and determination inspired the audience and added a unique touch to the carnival’s third day, making it a memorable event for all in attendance.

The Soun of Ogbomosoland, Oba Ghandi Afolabi Olaoye Orumogege III, graced the occasion alongside traditional chiefs and dignitaries. Applauding the creativity and effort behind the play, the monarch encouraged TAMPAN to raise the bar for future editions.
“This is truly commendable, but I anticipate even greater performances next year. You have ample time to prepare—deliver something vibrant, with exquisite costumes, that leaves a lasting impression,” he urged.
Today’s lineup includes a thanksgiving service celebrating Oba Ghandi’s first coronation anniversary, followed by a highly anticipated beauty pageant in the evening. The carnival will conclude on Monday with a grand finale at the Soun Township Stadium.
The final day promises a high-profile gathering, with expected appearances by Oyo State Governor, Engineer Seyi Makinde; Minister of Arts, Culture, and Creative Economy, Hannatu Musawa; the Aare Ona Kakanfo of Yorubaland, Iba Gani Adams; and other prominent figures.
