The Lagos State Police Command said it has arrested six suspects after a viral video showing some miscreants harassing a motorist on a Lagos road.
The command stated this in a post on Thursday.
In the video, three miscreants can be seen violently hitting a private vehicle in an apparent attempt to get the motorist to wind down his side window and tip them.
However, the motorist accompanied by a female companion refused before speeding off.
It was gathered that the incident occurred around Orile Iganmu area of the state.
Reacting, the state police command said it had put measures in place to check the activities of miscreants bothering motorists in the state.

It said, “The Lagos State Police Command is aware of the trending video showing some miscreants harassing motorists and creating distress along the road.
“The command wishes to clarify that it had already been on the lookout for, and taking proactive measures against, miscreants involved in such activities even before the said video surfaced online.
“Following the incident, six (6) suspects have been arrested on the same road, and investigation is ongoing.
“Officers have also been strategically deployed to intensify surveillance and prevent a recurrence.
“The command appreciates members of the public for bringing the incident to the attention of the Police and urges residents to continue providing timely and credible information that can assist in keeping Lagos safe.”
