Residents of terror-stricken communities in Kajuru and Kachia Local Governments of Kaduna State have made an appeal to President Bola Tinubu and Governor Uba Sani to rescue them from incessant killings and abductions.

This renewed call followed the kidnapping of a village head and 13 other residents in fresh attacks.

The villagers said they have continued to live in fear as armed terrorists repeatedly invade their communities, abducting residents and leaving families traumatised.

Among those abducted in the latest attacks is the village head of Kuturan Buzu, Mr Felix Ladan, who was kidnapped alongside six other residents during an early morning raid on communities in Maro Ward of Kajuru Local Government Area and Ayeh Kuturan Buzu in Agunu Ward of neighbouring Kachia Local Government Area.

The victims were identified as Hauwa Murtala, Gwamna Murtala, Grace Gwamna, Friday Jacob, Queen Friday, Mrs Gambo and the Village Head, MrFelix Ladan.

The latest incident came barely three days after terrorists invaded Banono Ungwan Aku community in Kufana District of Kajuru Local Government Area around midnight on Friday, July 10, 2026, abducting eight residents.

Those kidnapped in the earlier attack were identified as Martha Yakubu, Maryamu Monday, Blessings Silas, Tatah Silas, Umaye Amos, Godwin Stephens, Omah Thaddeus and another resident identified as Umaye Amos.

Confirming the attacks, a community leader who spoke in confidence described the worsening security situation as unbearable and appealed to both the Federal and Kaduna State governments to urgently deploy more security personnel to the affected communities.

“We understand that the government, especially under Governor Uba Sani, is doing a lot to ensure everyone is safe in Kaduna. So we felt that until our people in Kajuru and Kachia can also sleep well in their homes, our efforts remain a mirage.

“We are praying for the safe return of all those abducted. Our people can no longer sleep with their two eyes closed because of the incessant attacks.

“We are appealing to President Bola Tinubu and Governor Uba Sani to come to our rescue and restore peace to our communities,” the source said.

As of the time of filing this report, the kidnappers have not made any demand, while the Kaduna State Police Command and the Ministry for Internal Security and Home Affairs have yet to issue an official statement on the attacks.
