Anambra State First Lady Mrs Nonye Soludo has called on Nigerians to demonstrate genuine love and kindness toward one another as part of activities marking this year’s Valentine’s Day celebration.

Mrs Soludo, who is the founder of the Healthy Living Initiative, in a goodwill message in Awka, described true love as one expressed through kindness, compassion and selfless actions toward others.

Valentine’s Day, observed every February 14, is celebrated by expressing love and affection through messages and gestures shared with partners, family members and friends.

She noted that love should go beyond the annual celebration, urging people to show care and generosity at all times, especially to those in need.

“Acts of love, no matter how small, can leave lasting positive impacts on individuals and communities.

“I encouraged families and friends to use the occasion to strengthen bonds while also extending kindness to people around them,” she said.

Mrs Soludo further advised residents to ensure that their words and actions reflect goodwill, humanity and affection.

She said that society becomes better when people embrace empathy and mutual respect.

She wished residents a joyful Valentine’s Day celebration and urged them to spread love across communities.
