Wife of Osun State Deputy Governor, Olusola Adewusi on Wednesday distributed wheelchairs and some other equipment to persons with disabilities across the state in celebration of Valentine’s Day.
Students from ten schools of special needs were drawn for celebration while participants parted away with sewing machines and generating sets.
Tagged “History Makers,” the event climaxed with the celebration of retired teachers for their contribution to human development in the state.
Adewusi advised persons with disabilities not to allow their status to be a barrier against their success, saying they can achieve something good if they desire to do so.
“Your disability is not a barrier to your dreams. I want you to believe that nothing is impossible to achieve with determination,” Adewusi said.
Also speaking, the wife of the Governor, Ngozi Adeleke, urged philanthropists in the state to always shower love on persons living with disabilities as a means of giving back to society.
