Uzee Usman bags double honours

Nollywood actor, producer, and entertainment entrepreneur, Usman Adeyemi, popularly known as Uzee Usman, has earned fresh international recognition for his contributions to filmmaking and peace advocacy.

Uzee was recently honoured at the 15th Peace Achievers International Awards with two major accolades — Actor of the Year and Entertainment Excellence Award. Organisers praised him as a “creative ambassador” who promotes peace and positive global values through his work.

He also received an award at the Global Entrepreneur Festival in Ghana, where he was unveiled as an ambassador, further elevating his status as a cultural advocate across Africa.

Reacting to the honours, Uzee expressed gratitude and reaffirmed his commitment to using film as a tool for unity and social transformation.

“I will continue to use my platform to impact cultural advocacy, peace, and empower the next generation,” he said.

Describing creativity as a divine responsibility, he noted that film has the power to educate, heal, and bring people together — a mission that remains central to his work.

Industry watchers say Uzee’s recognitions are well-deserved, citing his consistent focus on themes of unity and cultural identity. With his growing international profile, the filmmaker appears set to expand his influence both within Nollywood and global peace-building circles.
