Utilise internal mechanism to vent your anger, Accord Party tells aggrieved members

The Accord Party has told aggrieved members to Utilise internal mechanism to vent their anger, especially after the outcome of the party’s primaries. 

Its National Publicity Secretary Joseph Omorogbe, who stated this in a statement yesterday when some members visited the party’s National Chairman, Maxwell Mgbudem, in Abuja.

He expressed confidence that the party would win the forthcoming Osun State governorship election, declaring that there was no crisis in the party.

Omorogbe said: “Accord leaders expressed optimism that the party will win the 15th August 2026, governorship election in Osun State and urged residents to turn up en masse and vote for the party.

“His Excellency, Senator Ademola Adeleke has performed well in his first term and deserves a second term to consolidate his achievements and take Osun State to the next level of economic prosperity, unity, security and infrastructural development.”

According to him, the chieftains passed a vote of confidence in Mgbudem visionary, purposeful, transformative and progressive leadership which attracted numerous Nigerians to the party including Governor Ademola Adeleke, a Senator, House of Representatives and State House of Assembly members as well as credible candidates for the 2027 general election.

He urged Nigerians to identify with Accord and vote for its candidates in the 2027 general election for inclusive governance.

In his remark, Maxwell Mgbudem commended the State Chairmen and National Officers who paid him a solidarity visit assuring them that he would justify the confidence reposed in him.

Mgbudem stressed the need for members to be in one accord saying he is open to advice in building a stronger political platform with national appeal and count on the cooperation of leaders and members of the party.

He urged them to focus on building a viable platform that would deliver all Accord’s candidates in the upcoming elections and disregard the activities of anti-democratic forces that want to sow seeds of discord in the party due to its growing influence and acceptance by Nigerians.

He emphasized the need for members to be in one accord to take the party to greater heights in this crucial electoral season.

The national chairman said party members would participate in all elections as one family with the support of Nigerians who desire and deserve competent, compassionate leadership and good governance which Accord symbolises.
