Former US President Donald Trump has alleged that President Joe Biden’s policies are killing Americans.
Trump said Biden has done a horrible job of handling the US economy, emphasizing that the inflation rate is awful.
He made the statement during the CNN presidential debate in Atlanta, Georgia early Friday.
The former president stated that increasing costs and the cost of living have become critical issues ahead of the November presidential election.

Trump said: “He has not done a good job. He’s done a poor job.
“And inflation is killing our country. It is absolutely killing us.
“I gave him a country with essentially no inflation. It was perfect. It was so good, all he had to do was leave it alone. He destroyed it.”
The US Federal Reserve raised its key lending rate from nearly zero to a two-decade high of between 5.25 to 5.50 percent, which it has held for the last year.
Higher interest rates chill the economy by increasing borrowing costs for households and companies, which has an indirect influence on everything from mortgage rates to auto loans.
