American television host, Oprah Winfrey has debunked reports that she was paid $1 million to campaign for Kamala Harris, the Democratic Party’s candidate in the recently concluded US presidential election.

The Washington Examiner reported that the TV personality’s company, Harpo Productions, was paid to conduct a celebrity town hall on Harris’ behalf in September.

In response, the talk show legend made it clear that she didn’t accept a dime to campaign for the Democratic nominee.

“Not true. I was paid nothing, ever,” TMZ quoted Oprah as saying.

Oprah refused to discuss the election results, which saw Republican Party nominee Donald Trump emerge as President-elect.
