The Apostolic Lead, Revival House of Glory International Church (RHOGIC), Apostle Goodheart Ekwueme, has stressed the need for Nigeria, its political leadership and the entire Body of Christ, to raise an “army” that would rescue the country from imminent socioeconomic collapse and total loss of human value.

The Apostle said that Nigeria and its people are passing through tough times, economically, politically and otherwise, as a result of moral decadence and failure of leadership, and the responsibility to rescue the country and position it on the path of growth and development has been rested on the shoulders of members of the Body of Christ.

He, however, told journalists at a press conference to mark the 7th year anniversary of RHOGIC, in Abuja, that the Body of Christ has woken up through RHOGIC Assembly to its scriptural responsibilities of being the light of the world, starting from Nigeria.

He said: “it is impossible to turn a blind eye to the sufferings of our countrymen, but it would be wicked to stay silent, especially when we have the mandate of revival. Who can deny that Nigeria needs revival now? With our child and youth populations exploding, we are experiencing the short end of a stick that should be stirring growth and righteousness in the land.

“The surge of crime, insecurity and ethno-religious fighting we are facing as a people, is being driven by the arms of children that are not privileged to be in school or any empowerment centre. Many of these children abandoned to determine right from wrong by themselves and many more, simply amplifying the wrong values that the older generations have modelled to them.

“Now, some even boast of their poor choices on social media. At the same time, the unprecedented and unabating fall in the value of the Naira has sounded despondency for many, and some of our brightest youth are abandoning this great country, choosing a sub-par existence in foreign lands instead.

“Rising food and fuel prices added to the hurt and desperation in the land, and if men express hunger as anger, then imagine what happens when you add desperation to the mix. But as Nigerians, we cannot afford to continue wishing something would change while we remain as we always have been.

“We must rise because divinity is indicting a good matter regarding us, but the season will not change our harvest, if we do not sow. It’s time to act, and acting starts with our minds.

“The lack of an experiential knowledge of God is obviously reflected in the dimension of kidnapping of children and monarchs alike as recently as the last few days. We are currently living in a time in Nigeria when there is no regard/value for human life.

“This is the oxymoron of our existence now and the present backdrop against which RHOGIC come into our 7th year with the theme ‘a time of release’. Since our commissioning to carry the torch of revival to the nations, many have caught on to the move of God for these time, but I perceived many others still struggle with what revival means, but also, what the value of the church is in national life.

“Revival is a restoration of the values for life as prescribed by God’s word. These values administer the divine standards for a healthy relationship with God and our associations with one another. This harmony of man with God and man with man leads to a glorious existence on earth and sundry benefits to mankind.”

Meanwhile, as part of event to celebrate the 7th year anniversary of the Church, the Lead Apostle announced a global conference that will witness outpouring of Power of God, accompanied by Signs and Wonders that would be released through several ministrations by gospel ministers and other anointed Men of God.
