On Saturday, May 3rd, 2025, Nigerian drummer and cultural educator Adeniyi Adekoya, also known as Adeniyi Drumz, held a special youth workshop called “Unshaken: The Power of Faith & Drums” at the Springwell Community Centre in Rotherham, United Kingdom.

The event brought together young people and teenagers for an afternoon filled with music, learning, and connection. With simple drumming lessons, fun group activities, and a focus on rhythm, the workshop helped the youth express themselves, build confidence, and connect with others.

The theme of the workshop was built on faith, creativity, and purpose. It gave young minds a safe and exciting space to discover their own voices through sound. For many of the participants, it was a new and powerful way to feel heard and supported.

This event is one of many cultural projects led by Adeniyi Drumz, who is passionate about using African drums to bring people together. His past work, including “Drums, Dialogue & Rhythm Exchange,” shows his strong commitment to youth development and community involvement.

Adeniyi continues to proudly represent Nigeria’s creative talent abroad, while also mentoring young people and helping them find their path through music.

The Unshaken workshop was free and open to the public, with help from volunteers and local youth groups. It wasn’t just a music class—it was a joyful space where young people felt encouraged, inspired, and united.
