The Nnamdi Azikiwe University (UNIZIK), Awka, has elected new Deputy Vice-Chancellors for Academic and Administrative portfolios.
At the 242nd Senate meeting held, yesterday, at the Zephaniah Madubuko Auditorium, Faculty of Social Sciences, the University Senate presided by the Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Bond Anyaehie, elected Prof. Alex Chinwuba Asigbo of the Department of Theatre Arts and Film Studies as Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Academic).

Also elected was Prof. Hilda Ewosiida Osisioma of the Department of Business Administration as Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Administration).
Prior to her election, Prof. Osisioma served as Acting Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Coordinating) for three months, demonstrating steady leadership and administrative experience while Prof. Asigbo currently serves as Director, UNIZIK Commercial Ventures, and is a former Dean of the Faculty of Arts.
A statement from the Public Relations Unit of the University noted that the appointments reflect the university’s continued commitment to strengthening academic excellence and effective administration.
