United Nigeria Airlines has been officially admitted into the International Air Transport Association (IATA) Clearing House (ICH), making the carrier a more integrated player in the global aviation financial system.

The admission allows the airline to settle interline billings which covers both passenger and cargo transactions through a centralized and secure global settlement platform used by leading carriers worldwide.

The ICH is a multilateral clearing system that simplifies financial settlements between airlines, reducing the cost of bilateral transactions and membership is regarded as a mark of operational credibility and financial transparency within the international aviation community.

United Nigeria Airlines said in a statement that the ICH membership lays the groundwork for broader interline and codeshare agreements with other airlines that would allow passengers to book seamless journeys across multiple carriers on a single ticket.

“This milestone reinforces our commitment to international best practices and operational transparency,” the airline said .

The airline described its entry into the ICH as “a definitive step” in its integration into the global aviation financial ecosystem
