UNIMED Librarian becomes professor of Library and Information Science

The Librarian of the University of Medical Sciences (UNIMED), Ondo, Adebambo Oduwole has been elevated to the rank of Professor.

 

The promotion was announced by the Governing Council of the Lagos State University, Ojo.

 

Professor Oduwole, a Professor of Library and Information Science, according to a statement issued by the Public Relations Officer of the university, Mr Isaac Oluyi is a highly respected librarian with a robust academic background and extensive experience in library science and information management.

 

He holds a BSc in Microbiology, PGDE, MLS and Ph.D. in Library and Information Science and has dedicated his career to advancing the field through both practice and research.

 

He is a certified Project Manager and member of various local and international organizations in the field of library and information science.

 

Professor Oduwole’s work focuses on digital libraries, information literacy, and the application of technology in information services. He has contributed significantly to academic literature, with numerous publications in reputable journals.

 

As an educator, he has mentored and inspired countless students, emphasizing the importance of effective information management in the digital age.

 

Before joining UNIMED, Prof. Oduwole was once the University Librarian at the Lagos State University and Olabisi Onabanjo University, Ago-Iwoye, Ogun State respectively .His commitment to excellence and his forward-thinking approach have established him as a leading figure in the library and information science community.
